5 Study Tips That Make MBBS Easier
Heyy Bunbun is here,
Today, I want to share some study tips that have helped me survive the challenges of MBBS — from anatomy to physiology and everything in between.
1. Active Recall is Key
Instead of just reading your notes, try to recall the information from memory. This strengthens your understanding and helps you remember better during exams. Flashcards or self-quizzing work wonders!
2. Make a Study Schedule
MBBS is intense, so time management is everything. Divide your day into study blocks and short breaks. Consistency is more important than long hours of cramming.
3. Use Visuals
Diagrams, flowcharts, and mind maps can make complex topics easier to understand — especially anatomy. Drawing them yourself helps you remember better.
4. Group Study (With Caution)
Discussing topics with classmates can clarify doubts and give you new perspectives. Just make sure the group stays focused and doesn’t turn into socializing time.
5. Take Care of Yourself
Sleep, healthy food, and short walks are crucial. Your brain functions best when your body is well-rested and energized.
These tips may seem simple, but small changes in your study habits make a huge difference in medical school. Remember, medicine is a marathon, not a sprint.
In the next post, I’ll share what a typical day in MBBS looks like — from lectures to hospital rounds — so you can see how all these tips fit into real life.
See you in bunbun's next blog ☺
